Annual Grants Fund Preservation Projects

OatlandsThe Loudoun Restoration and Preservation Society (LRPS) was organized thirty years ago with an initial effort to save two buildings in Leesburg. Since then, LRPS has raised more than $720,000, which has gone to fifty-five countywide preservation projects. Our grants have helped preserve a number of significant buildings in Loudoun County, including the Aldie Mill, Ford's Store in Round Hill, the Stone House at Harper Park, Dodona Manor, the Leesburg home of George C. Marshall, Oatlands, and Morven Park. We have also donated to the restoration and preservation of a number of churches in the county, in many cases helping small congregations preserve their buildings and cemeteries. Nonprofit organizations in Loudoun County are eligible to apply for our annual grants. The deadline for 2007 applications is September 30. Write LRPS for more information or Download an Application.
